I remember when URF first came out, it was tremendously fun. You got to pick whoever you wanted. You got to spam like an idiot along with the enemy team. You had rapid gold. If your kit carries healing effects then you were pretty set. Now there were definitely some stupidly OP champions in this game mode, but the thing is that there were a LOT of them which balanced it all out. Think Eve is OP with her infinite spike spam and super dash? Well Master Yi could stay in alpha nearly 24/7. Thought that wukong being invisible was insane? Try Nidalee's spears that were able to 1-shot you at max range. What about Tryndamere's infinite spins and healing? Well try that against a Xin Zhao who has dashes and knockups every time you try spinning away.

You see, these champions were so much fun to play in the old URF. Infinite healing may have been ridiculous sometimes, but only in the sense that both teams would laugh as Sona could just solo a turret by pressing W the whole time. It wasn't angering to play against and you could at least have a CHANCE because EVERY champion was OP, so justifying infinite healing champs being strong isn't a good excuse Riot for nerfing the heck out of it. Now those same champs that used to be SOOOO much fun long ago are now disastrous to play with unless you get to make it to later on in the game. But you just had to spend the first 20 minutes of not having fun in order to do so. And by that time, the game likely would have been over 5 minutes ago.

This isn't just for healing champions, it's also for champions who you get stuck with because you can no longer reroll and no one wants to trade with you. Who the heck wants to play Yasuo against a Blitzcrank in URF? Or a Darius against a Nautilus and Alistar? Or an Aatrox against an Ezreal and a Fizz? Don't get me wrong, sometimes it is a more fair game, but you have 10 champs to decide who gets what and the likelihood of that happening is slim. Not only that, but it is not fully automated either. You play the same 10 - 20 champions and that is it. Who cares about 'diversity' if we are all having fun? Instead of us discriminating certain champions from each other by instalocking someone in and allowing them to instalock someone else, you guys discriminate champions for us and now WE ARE NOT HAVING FUN ANYMORE.

TL;DR You guys nerfed URF. Why?

That fucking shit of old urf was fucking cancer. I had never seen so many of the same champions every fucking game. Never had something annoyed me so much by seeing the same champion. You ban 10 champions? So what the next best champions are gonna be in the game 24/7. No fun.

I remember when URF came back the second time, it was just as fun...

For about 2 matches, then everyone started banning and picking the exact same champions and within 6 hours of its release everyone was already sick of it.

Because surprise surprise urf isn't that fun.

in theory it sounds fun, but there's just gonna be something better than your fun and it's gonna ruin your fun.

I tried this game mode a few times. Perma ulted singed, sounds fun right? Being at your strongest moment all game long. Except it won't matter because others get to be unkillable while bursting an ulted singed without any issues.

URF killed itself by creating a meta. Urf takes everything about league to the extreme, including the importance of "THE META".

People bring up their arguments against it, but tbh I would still prefer normal urf, at least you can play what you want, and the game isn't retarded one sided stomp. Add 10 or more bans and it's not even same picks everytime. Yeah, not everything will be picked but so what.

Games are almost never fair. I have never seen a decent Zed player lose a game. And when the get Lux/Morg against your 4 melee team. you can usually tell who is gonna win in the post-select screen.

I'd like to at least TRY regular urf with the new 10 ban system. And let us see what the other team is hovering or locking so we don't all ban the same 5 champs.

URF killed itself. If a meta didn't develop and turn the game into a "pick or ban these champions or you'll lose" game, the chances are ARURF wouldn't exist.

I want to experiment with the champions I have now but the game keeps on rolling me into the same god damn champions that I've played three times already. I keep getting Maokai . I've already played that same tree stump. I don't care if he helps me win. I just want to play someone else already.
