Debunking "Elo Hell" Some Reason why it doesn't exist
For this post Elo Hell is referring to silver/bronze
- My teammates are holding me back: This logic is flawed and is quickly debunked with the Common Denominator Argument. Whats the common factor in all your games? YOU. Not the teammate that fed 5 kills to riven before 10 mins and not the guy that afk and lost you a game. You get cycled with new teammates every game and the only thing that's the same is you. You yourself determine what rank you're at not that one game that someone afk'd. 2.Well my team doesn't Listen, Group, Or team fights wrong: Something you have to realize is that bronze/Silver are the worst tiers in the game so they people you play with dont understand how the game is supposed to be played. They dont understand the game like diamonds. If they did they wouldn't be in this elo. So dont get mad when people dont do things that are "right". But if you think you are better then this elo with lets be honest everyone does you should be making the right calls, getting fed to the point you can solo carry and simply winning your team the game. Well smurfs/AFKs/Etc Ruin my game: I've seen a lot of these posts recently and here is my input: For starters I think If you get a smurf against you thats unlucky and most likely you're going to lose. But that should give you the motivation to climb because you are first hand witnessing someone carry. Secondly For the sake of this post lets say you play 30 games. Out of the 30 games you get 4 smurfs and 6 afk/dc's thats 10 games that you're going to lose and their is nothing you can do about it. But on the flip side that leaves 20 games that both teams are equal no afk's no smurfs carrying the game. That leaves 20 normal games THAT YOU INFLUENCE. If you win your lane and go 5-0 before 20 mins with cs lead you can solo win your team the game. Plus if you think youre better then your elo you should find yourself having easy lanes and seeing al lot of mistakes your opponent is making. Simply put you are the Common Factor in your games. At the flip of a coin you could be on the other team. With enough games played you will always end up at the elo you deserve.
