Should Rengar really be able to do this?

Should Rengar, level 7, one item that costs 2900, deal 714 damage with just one q? should he really deal around 1375 damage in 2.31 seconds? this was in a toplane Swain vs Rengar. The moment he went to a bush I couldnt do anything, I couldnt farm, I couldnt catch him, and everytime I tried to get close to the minions or catch him he would just punish me instantly for around half my health. Yes this is a QQ thread. Yes I need a place to vent, and yes I am a crybaby.

That's an insanely early duskblade. he must have been very ahead of you, but of-course you would edit your level and deaths/cs from the screenshot.

Honestly, it seems like only Rengar ever gets shit for one shotting, not like a 5-0 adc or mage or even a tank would kill you in 2 seconds as well. Every champ does it when fed, get over it.

Especially in this high damage/snowball meta

Edit: looking over your game as Swainn vs Rengar confirms my suspisions. You died to Rengar 4 times before he had an insanely early duskblade at level 7, your Lee sin also died to him pre level 7.

Damn he killed you slow as fuck. Eariler rengar with duskblade killed me before his model touched mine as ezreal. think it was like .92 seconds.

im guessing you let him ult you or jump at you from a bush because you have no idea how to play around reng then he jumped at you with full passive stacks or around full so he could double q you and kill you with e as you tried to run away. im sorry to say this but an assassins job is to kill people out of position

As someone who’s faced both good and bad Rengars, my main piece of advice is to play around your ward in river while in lane. The thing is that Rengar’s jump range isn’t normally enough to reach you unless you’re directly behind your minion wave. My personal suggestion is to play around the outside of your minion wave and ward a little deeper down river, near Herald pit. The most he’ll be able to is jump to one of your minions, which can be punished.
