Pyke's hook seems hard to notice (?)

Pyke's hook seems really hard to react to, especially when he comes out of stealth and charges is Q to hook you in. Maybe the colours of the hook animation fade into the map? Has anyone else had a hard time against reacting to his charging hook? It's super frustrating to play against >.> even Blitz and Thresh hooks are more reactable.
