When you take a look at toplane, can something be done about tanks?

Because I feel like the moment there's a tank in the toplane, it's not a skill matchup anymore. It's a stat matchup and it feels so damn wrong to just see them be a better you. Many fighters simply have no place in there, especially with the new runes. They and their items have been receiving buffs like candy while bruiser items get nerfed because other classes have been abusing them (coughmarksmencough) and pretty much no compensation has been given to the users.

I don't know if I'm not the only one who feels this way but fighting something like is so damn sad, like the lane could go two ways: it's a lost lane or an even lane. I remember when with 8 stacks of Fervor of Battle, a pre-nerf and the extra arm pen from masteries was something tanks had to be careful at Now they just rush their or another tank item to make me inexistent in lane.
