Like a 90% loss rate on normals matchup algorithm

This is probably an issue a lot of people have already had and that many have already addressed, but I'm not sure where else to ask so please excuse the redundancy. I'm really really frustrated and upset about how frequently I seem to get put with poor teammates on my NA account. I know what you're gonna think when you see '90% loss rate,' and although I am relatively new to the game, I'm not actually a terrible player. I main ADC (Jhin, MF, sometimes Ashe), and literally 9 out of every 10 games or something similar I either get a terrible support (who will also flame me for their mistakes, for some reason) and I can't carry, or I do well in lane but the rest of my team feeds/makes dumb calls so my carry is wasted. In either case we lose. I know people have talked about just having 'bad days' with League sometimes, but what I'm describing is more often my standard experience and winning becomes like a rare exception. Maybe I'm just really unlucky, but I don't think my skill level warrants this kind of experience. I've managed to achieve A+ at the highest so far on all three champions mentioned above, and I learn more about item builds/counter-builds/matchups and so on every day. Is there something I'm not aware of re: how the client makes matchups? Am I just overestimating my skill and being really naive? Would be appreciated if anyone who responds could have some patience and be civil because I've truly had my fill of toxicity for today. Thanks

I took a look at some of your recent games to see what I could find to offer some advice. It does look like you've had a loss streak recently which is where the "90% lose rate" you're referring to is coming from. Overall you have a ~50% win rate on both MF and Jihn for this season which is good. It's important to keep in mind that loss streaks and win streaks are a thing. They happen even to the best of players. If you are getting frustrated (which it sounds like is true), sometimes it's best to take a break and come back refreshed.

Now, without actually seeing any of your games I can only offer so much advice but here is what I've seen fairly consistently in your game stats.

  1. Your damage to towers is low. Taking objectives (Towers, dragon, baron, etc) are the main way to win games. Kills are good and important but they don't instantly translate to wins.
  2. Your damage to champions is low. I noticed this in games where you lost but had a good looking K/D/A. Again, kills are great but if you are only last hitting an enemy, that isn't helping your team in the long term. It's ok to comit to a fight and die! It's not like you die in real life!
  3. Being too passive. This relates heavily to point #2. An ADC's main job is to pewpew. Playing passive all game doesn't do you any favours. These games are normals (not ranked) so try being greedy for a kill or hard commiting when your support CC's the enemy ADC. It won't always work, but it helps you get out of a passive mindset (it's a problem I had for a long time as an ADC)
  4. CSing - It looks like you stop CSing after the lane phase is done. CSing is an important way to generate that sweet sweet gold to buy items.
  5. Your skill. There's always ways to improve. Even the pros are constantly learning new things to improve their gameplay. Thinking "I keep getting trash teammates wtf" won't help you improve. Instead, try to think constructively "What could I have done differently there?". This can be hard sometimes (especially when you have someone go 0/20/0) but you can't control your teammates, the only thing you can control is yourself.

Focus less about winning and losing and instead being the best ADC you can be :)

The fact that adc isn't just about getting kills but also doing objectives.

Sometimes you are simply forced to do boring split pushing or backdooring that wins you the game.

I would not recommend norms .. most people with any skill in the game are in ranked que..

When I play norms.. it is to learn a new champ, try a new build etc.. I am most definitely not worrying about CS, or objectives.. to me norms are fun mode to try stuff.

In fact I do not think I have ever played a non ranked game that did not have someone terrible on one team or the other..

and it doesn't matter which team has one.. it makes the game meaningless.

Well you know that the majority of normal games players are mostly unranked or ranked iron till like silver and playing norms for fun or maybe training for example, plus players in normal mostly don't care if they lose a game cause it's just norms. so i think u should change lanes or play some other champs like sett for example go in 1v5 kick some ass aye.
