Will Taliyah Mid return ?

So I've noticed, when in champ select, that Taliyah isn't considered to be a part of the rosters of Midlane.

This got me thing that, as much as I used to enjoy her being played mid, it saddens me to see that the role she was meant to be played in isnt the most viable for her. Taliyah was one of those champions who's skills felt good to use, at least for me. Her passive and ult was meant for roaming. Her Q was great for clearing waves. Her WE felt good landing a full combo on a champion.

As someone who enjoyed playing Taliyah, what part of her kit will/should looked at for her to be considered a viable mid laner. Just like how Fiora is able to challenge an enemy in a grand duel or how Neeko can replicate champion appearances to trick people, what is Taliyah's gameplay identity ?

I've been looking for other control mages that was similar to Taliyah, but closest I can get is Aurelion Sol, who controls the stars and travels through the map, Anivia, who is an ice pheonix who can isolate and 100-0 someone to death, and Karthus, a lich who can kill from beyond the grave and play a requiem to finish off low health enemies from anywhere.

Maybe this is just a suggestion, but maybe give her Q Tristana's E Passive, where when she kills a minion with one Q, any unit in a small radius around the target will get damaged as well.
