The balance in this game needs work.
How many champs in league now? There are maybe 30 that are ever played. Same champs, every game. Why? Because they're just straight up BETTER than the others.
Every game is going to have a Trist or a Lucian. They're just BETTER than every other adc on the game. Maybe, maybe, you see Kog or Corki. Trist by the way is in a ridiculous spot.
Support is down to 4 or 5 champs. Thresh, Braum, Nami. Maybe you see a Leona, Blitz or Morg. that's really it. Certain pairings are just in RIDICULOUS spots. Good luck winning lane vs a Trist/Braum or Lucian/Nami
Mid is a little better with perhaps a dozen viable champs. Though to be fair, it's still a tiny percentage of the champs designed for the role.
Jungle is pretty bad, maybe 6-8 top tier picks. Of all the roles, this one is perhaps in the best spot though as that most any jungler can be good if played smart. Though, on the other hand the top tier is top for a reason, if they're played equally well, they will beat you.
Top is down to rock paper scissors pretty hardcore. In solo que, whoever picks top first loses. (assuming their playing vs someone who knows what they're doing) Absent perfect intervention from the jungle, get a bad matchup and kiss your game goodbye.
Maybe I'm just venting, but I'm seriously getting tired of playing the same 3-4 games over and over again. Games are won or lost in champ select. Half of them are over by the 12 min mark.
Yes, I've had a run of bad luck tonight. Yes that's clouding my judgment. (I went from running my series to 5LP in one night) But I think the general point stands. Half the league goes basically unplayed. Turrets are still stupid weak. Games only go long in the LCS because only with coordination can you get to late game from behind (good luck with that in solo que). The mobility creep in champ design has all but ruined some champs.
tldr; if the same 30-50 champs are being played every game out of 120 or so, something is wrong.
