Delay on Even Horizon ruined veigar

Veigar's E being an instant stun was the only way he could keep up with all these mobility heavy champions that RIOT insist on shoving down our throats. Unless the horizon STOPS THEM from dashing through it as if it were some sort of brick wall, it's now useless in lane.

And halving the duration.... nerfing the hell out of his ult as if champions like LB don't burst harder.. Oh my.

I remember back in the days when Morgana mid was the most OP thing and Veigar was a hidden counter because she couldn't spell shield through it via it being an instant stun.

RIP Veigar.

All i see is a bronze QQ nothing more. Maybe think about the positive sides of theese changes.

You know nost just listing all the drawbacks since every coin has 2 sides.

Actually now it's just like most other skill shot stuns...but still way better because it can block half a lane or an entire jungle path for the duration even if it doesn't touch anyone. Currently it takes some skill to use properly, but once you have that down it is a superior CC ability.

Stop comparing it to old Event Horizon and compare it to other stuns.

He is a lot stronger like this (almost on OP side).

The OP is absolutely correct. Veigar suffers from being both squishy and immobile, meaning his only viability comes from executing unanswerable burst damage.

Tenacity has already greatly limited veigar's combo potential and means at least 2 points in E are required to guarantee a full combo.

Let's be real here, there's a reason veigar does not top the solo OR team ranked scenes: he's already underpowered.

Any reduction in Veigar's ability to guarantee safe damage for himself is unquestionably devastating to his viability.

Beyond that DG has been removed! That was an essential part of veigar's combo, and the addition of the active item in his sequence is probably the only thing that ever significantly raised his ceiling. So right at this moment Veigar is at his weakest

Why nerf him right now? Uncalled for.

This delay is a buff if you play around it. However the immobilisation during cast is too long in my opinion, that's the problem as it breaks the rhythm of the champ too hard and give away too large a window to killl him.

I also main Veigar and just tried to land my combos and learned that it is 100% more difficult to do anything. I'm in plat 2 and these guys are obviously skilled enough to simply strafe and dodge my stun. In team fights I also had to get closer than I wanted to just to land q's. It's cool it can hit two people now but Veigar is supposed to stay at a reasonable range because he's squishy as hell, and if I want to hit two people I need to get closer so the q is able to go through the first champion. And if I get closer, I usually run the risk of death! My old game consisted of kiting and setting traps followed with quick combo's. Now my game consists of running up to q and then having to flash away because my stun has a DELAY. To put it simply, I do NOT feel safe when playing Veigar because your stun (life saver and initiation tool) is far less reliable and unless the enemy you're facing isn't very good, it is VERY difficult to land a full combo on an opponent. Not to mention they nerfed the ap ratios on q and r. Riot, WTF?

You can still use his E (Event Horizon) as an escape tool instead of as an engage tool. Shame about his Dark Matter though. That will be more difficult to land than a Swain's Nevermove. At least he would still be playable after his changes.
