Bruisers have become troll picks in the bruiser lane

Who would you rather have on your team: A fed Darius or a fed Vayne?

A fed Kled or a fed Cassiopeia?

A fed Aatrox or a fed Vladimir?

Past platinum, nobody in their right mind would EVER think to play a bruiser. They are so overnerfed and so incapable of fighting range that the doran’s shield buff did absolutely nothing. First picking a bruiser is a death sentence since now you have to worry about broken picks like Akali, Fiora, Ryze, Kennen, Vladimir, Cassiopeia, Vayne, Lucian, Jayce and that’s just off the top of my head.

Adcs top have become the norm, and the class with an alleged strong early game is now getting trashed by champions with alleged weak early games. Seriously, could you imagine if bruisers could be played bot nowadays, and the absolute fit adc mains would have? So then why is it not seen as an issue that adcs like Vayne can 1v1 any bruiser in the game at level 3 in their own lane?

The counterplay to bruisers is to play a mage, rush Seeker’s Armguard / Ninja Tabi and laugh as they proceed to get their damage reduced to 0. They’re incredibly safe, but also they’re better early and also they outscale you and also they have better wave clear and also their teamfighting is better and also their items are better and also their items are cheaper. So remind me, why am I playing a bruiser again?

This class of champions is my favorite in the game, but right now I just don’t see why you wouldn’t pick a mage or an adc instead. I think that many of these issues stem from the fact that their items are over cost, or don’t provide the stats worthy of their current prices. Either way, the issue of an entire class of champions being useless at higher elo needs to be addressed.
