Shaco Rework?
i remember seeing years ago that Shaco was getting a rework, and the last I heard was that it was shelved. I'm wondering has there been any progress on Shaco's rework? If not it's fine I was just wondering. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Nothing currently underway. I expect we'll take a look at Shaco to see what can be done if we end up picking assassins as the end of year class update. He's got a lot of game health and counterplay issues, he does some really cool and distincitve stuff too though that matches his thematic extremely well so I think he's potentially a really high value project.
Even if we do look at assassins at the end of year though (far from guaranteed yet) there's some risk that he turns out to be too big a project to be done properly within the small to medium sized changes of a class update.
Reworking shaco is hard for their is always one or two abilities that everyone completely identifies with a champion. With Shen it is his Taunt and Ultimate, surprise? He kept those. With Poppy it was her Wall stun and Movement speed with her tankier the lower she gets abilitity, she kept those. With Tristana it was her rocket jump and her Q steroid, she kept those.
I think you are noticing a pattern here, a champion in a major rework in the end always keaps a signature move that makes us go "Yeah that's what makes Shen, Shen"
However when I think of shaco, I think of his entire toolkit, how he annoyingly goes invisible and dashes a million mlies away from me, how he can clone himself and turn a one v into a two v one, how he can put boxes down, how he throws shivs that slow me so he can catch up and have good ganks.
Shaco is probabbly the hardest champion to rework, for the question is, what do you get rid of, what do you change, and what do you invent for him?
For let's be honest, when we think of Shaco we think of everything that he is, not just one or two abilities.
The assassins rework has been announced and even though it wasn't said to happen will shaco get any sort of attention who personally to me is well needed [zombie-brand-facepalm]
