@Meddler Thought process behind Fiddlesticks nerf & changes?

Hello,

I have a question about the recent Fiddlesticks nerf to his E and the changes in 6.9.

The 7x bounce had two effects in my opinion: Faster clearspeed especially in the early levels + powerful poke in mid-/lategame.

Though I don't agree with the explanation of the nerf that Fiddlesticks dueling power was too strong. Because the change to his W makes duelling a bit harder. And it has a damn long cooldown was well.

Overall in my opinion the recent increase in winrate was more because of the new AP items with CDR, much AP and survivability stats which make Fiddlesticks a bit more powerful.

His Q range nerf wasn't that bad, his W change makes fleeing, ganking and jungling a bit more easy, his E is stronger, R ping is awesome (all changes are no real gamechanger at all) and his new passive... is not really needed. I play with Stormraider's Surge in the mastery tree and it is so much more powerful. But I guess, the new passive helps a bit as well.

By the way it would look way more cooler if crows would fly around him when standing still. :)

I appreciate a "hotfix" mentality which leads to a healthy enviroment. But I don't understand the fast nerf to his E. And what really bothers me and maybe other Fiddlesticks players are the constant nerfs to him while leaving other junglers like Amumu, Volibear etc. untouched.

And we still don't have a reduced CD on our ultimate if it is cancelled for example, we experienced nerfs for multiple seasons, a season which you ignored Fiddlesticks at all (like you stated).

What is your opinion and thought process behind this?

Regards.
