Winstreak/Loss Streak Cycle

So lately, I've been going on massive 9-10 game winstreaks, winning up to my gold promos, and then losing about 8 games in a row. This has happened three times now and I really cant figure out why. I am playing about the same in every game, usually I start off really well and then later on after midgame i start doing poorly. I usually have the second highest ward score by the end of the game, and typically a fair amount of farm unless something goes horribly wrong in laning phase.

I've been focusing on all the things youre supposed to focus on to climb, which is how the win streaks happen, but then all of a sudden they do a complete 180 and everyone on my team, including myself, lose lane and get smashed for 8 games straight.

How do I do this? What do I fix? I main shaco, and I do well with him, but if I'm the only one who's fed I know I cant carry, and if everyone on my team is behind theres not much i can do to fix that.

Any advice?

Might not be much coming from me, but play to the strength of your champion. If yours isn't a champion that can close the match on their own then use it to enable your team to do just that.

The game isn't all about kills, after all. Champions have infinite lives and they'll keep coming back to try and wrench your win from you no matter how ahead you get.

If you're an assassin then feel free to score a kill or more, but then rotate onto an objective. If the enemy is down by more players than your team is then objectives become easier to take.

This is coming from a Support player who knows they cannot push waves to turrets well. I don't carry my games by getting kills or taking turrets. I carry by identifying my best performing team mates and investing my time and effort into making them even stronger than they are on their own.

So, yea, might not be much coming from me, but know your strengths and play to them. Don't try to do things that are beyond your capabilities.

There's 4 other players on your team. Unless you're playing several divisions above your skill you will need your teammate's help.

For example, a diamond player can carry easily from Iron-Gold. They're going to coin flip a lot more in platinum. A challenger player is going to carry from Iron-Platinum. They're going to coinflip a lot more in diamond.

Skill really only matters in the case of extreme differences.
