Shen's Vorpal Blade "mark" needs something more

For those who don't know/remember what Shen's Q does: Vorpal Blade RANGE: 475 COST: 60 energy COOLDOWN: 6 / 5.5 / 5 / 4.5 / 4 Active: Shen throws a blade at the target enemy, dealing magic damage and marking them for 5 seconds. Shen and allied champions that damage a marked enemy will heal over 3 seconds, with the duration refreshing upon subsequent damage.

Magic damage: 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 (+ 60% AP) Heal: 6 / 10 / 14 / 18 / 22 (+ 1.5% Shen's maximum health) If Vorpal Blade kills the target, Shen heals for 33% of the normal amount instantly. Instant Heal: 2 / 3 / 5 / 6 / 7 (+ 0.5% Shen's maximum health)

Out of all of the ninjas in LoL, Shen's mark is by far the least threatening if not negligible within a team fight and is not as effective during a duel. Shen's mark does has great utility with healing over time and it works really well for healing teammates. It is also the only mark that directly benefits allies. However I still think that the mark needs more. The enemy should be concerned if they are marked, just like getting marked by others (Kennen's stun, Akali's extra AP scaling damage, Zed's ultimate). By nature of the game Shen is a tank though so I hope that my suggestions are reasonable enough.

I believe that the mark should interact with Shen's Ki Strike (passive). What if we were to add one or more of the following:

  1. If Shen strikes the marked target with Ki Strike, the healing for him is 50% greater (I would like double but that might be too much in practice).
  2. If Shen strikes the marked target with Ki Strike, he deals an additional 10/25/35/50/70 damage.
  3. If Shen strikes the marked target with Ki Strike, he gains 10/15/20/15/30 energy.

Do any of these ideas sound good? I believe that the recent buff to Shen's ultimate (cooldown) was a great step in the right direction but I don't think it was enough. I hope that if one of these effects were added (I'm personally in favor of the greater healing) that Shen's viability will go up a bit but not be overpowered.

No, Please, NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO please? yes the "mark" is not frightening, its late-game effect is not super strong, however the VERY SPELL, is one of the HARDEST for champions to tank, because unlike other forms of poke: It doesn't cost mana, it has a low cool-down it will exceed low amounts of lifesteal It will does not cost health. meaning that against many of the fighter class top lanes Shen is a MASSIVE BULLY with 0 counterplay EARLY and LATE game due to huge tank stats and a low cool-down shield combined with a heal that is increased with spirit visage, so while thematically it would be cool, I BEG YOU, DO NOT MAKE THIS STUPID SPELL ANY STRONGER.

Idk...

After playing as this guy and ruining the lives of many tops in the early game, I don't think this is the right way to go. How about something for allies, since the affect is negligible except for early game as a support and leashes.

Maybe a damage field, where nearby champions (but not minions) take damage from attacks against the marked target, or the marked target takes more damage from non-Shen sources. Not more damage to the champ itself from Shen or increased heals though. He's powerful enough in those regards.
