Why I love tacical strategy games....
Because there is some serious maths/physics science to it. I was playing as AP Lucian and the enemy had the typical AD Lucian. He singled me out and dashed at me knowing he was superior in close range AA combat. I had
and
but this give ap Lucian burst damage and not enough to go head to head with AD Lucian.
So I flashed out of his range cause I know I would have gotten my ass handed to me.
At that point, we both did what Lucians do when a target is out of range. We ulted almost in sync. I however continued running back as I still did not want to get in range of his AA. He continue to chase me.
It was amazing. We were both at the tips of each other ults like it was a cowboy shoot off. I continued backing up into a wall with no room left to run. I thought I that was it.
Somehow, my ult landed and his didn't, and as my back hit the wall, he died just in time.
Infuriated, he asked, how come his ult did not land while mine did? Its the same range?
I too was puzzled, but then it clicked. He was running towards me while I was running away. It simply meant he was creating a shorter distance between him and my ult while I was creating a longer distance between his ult and me. The result was my ult barely landed while I barely stepped out of his.
Pure physics. BTW smart ap Lucian are better than typical AD ones....
