New player!

So I wanted to try twisted treeline (I'm level 12), and will I be playing with good players or new players that are also learning? I was gonna try blind pick but been playing aram and wanted to know if treeline would be easy to at least learn a couple things before I go into blind pick :/

EDIT: I have asked a question I think yesterday, which was riven vs illaoi (played them both in aram and I got my answer who I wanted to play, but would still love to learn the game more, only played support champs in aram though.)

Twisted Treeline is a load of fun! It's similar to Aram where it's just constant action all the time, which is great!

However because it's less popular, the game may have a harder time finding people at your skill level, and so you may face players that are higher or lower skilled than you. But hey it's just a game, try it out and have fun! Who cares if you win or lose. :)

Kind of long, but lots of info here if you really want to know it all before diving in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l19XHQnBe38

Goodluck!

Basically, Twisted Treeline isn’t really a good map to practice for Summoner’s Rift later on. The best thing you should do is to learn the different champions in ARAM, and then head for blind pick. You do not need to know everything before going into Summoner’s Rift. You can learn on the way. You can even ask other players to give you tips about your champion or the enemy’s. A lot of players are actually good and and will help you, but always be alert that other will flame you. Learning to use the mute button on a player is also quite nice.

Also, don’t fall into the trap of seeing another player crush you with a champion and then buying the champ right away. Counters and temporary overpowered champs exists, so don’t get carried away.

Playing TT on this level will get you people that are either new completely, or skilled on that map. There is sadly a high chance of you getting actual bots into your team, or playing agaisnt them, since people are using TT as a lvling ground for boting software (its more common playing against AI) but still. If you wanna practice SR you can just ask here on the forums if some gyus will play with you, and help you improve.

BTW, dude, run, run as far away as you possibly can

I think 3v3 is probably a better place to learn how to microplay the champions you like and gauge what you can and cannot fight. However it isnt going to teach you how to macroplay on summoners rift, and macroplay on summoners rift is what determines average players from good players.

TTL is probably the worst map to learn on. Just play blind.

ARAM is best for learning champions, Be sure to know what each role does that was pretty hard when I was new.

Remember you can have fun even if you lose.
