Why does matchmaking put you in with someone you blocked?

I had to deal with the same moron two ranked games in a row because of this Why not exclude people you've blocked from your queue? Does Riot not know that maybe there's a reason behind the block?

This has been said over and over again, but disallowing people you've blocked to show up in your games allows for matchmaking manipulation.

In the high high level gameplay, you see many of the same players over and over again (because there are not that many people at that top level). If you blocked some of them because you don't like them, then you might never find a game.

At the same time, for example, a silver or bronze player might attempt to block every "bad" player he comes across to increase his chances of being matched with better players.

Then there should be some kind of system geared toward the lower end of the game, WHICH ACCOUNTS FOR THE BULK OF THE CASH FLOW... $$$$$$$$

Anyway. This is about balance, which there is nothing being done for the lower end.

If you want your average players to actually be average and distinguishable from new or inexperienced (trying to maintain political correctness) , don't ignore the fact that they are in below average and left out areas of ranked.

It seems as though the very parameters set in place to ensure that no one abuses the system is abusing the average player. (which is a bunk term because right now the average player is Bronze or Silver which is the very lowest)

Expounding:

I'm aware that I should provide some kind of idea to tangent off of if this is ever to be taken seriously, so here goes.

Why not have a parameter that takes into account whom you have played with, and their skill level in terms of MMR. This system would measure to a certain threshold if you continuosly are paired with that summoner in matchmade games. Should the threshold be met or exceeded, the system could then flag these 2 summoners as "Verified" or something like that, where verified would mean "these 2 summoners do not work well together whatsoever and have had enough chances to redeem their paring together"

That parameter would only increase should: Both summoners be reported by anyone within the same game, or, the players skill differences seem vastly different from one another, including some minor stats or behind the scenes info at your discretion. EDIT: Also, Rage Quitting would instantly exceed this threshold. As you would be reported anyway for leaving, and leaver buster would cite you, there are enough filters for a quitter to go through that this would not be abused!

TL;DR Either way, yes. Something must be done.

When you know the reason you lost is because of a summoner who went 17/5 and you go 10/2, and that same summoner lost to you but had a simlilar face-rolly score, something is amiss.

Assides from the matchmatching manipulation this has another flaw: everybody would block everybody quite soon.

I've had this happen ti me countless times. My advice is to wait a few minutes after a game (Go get a drink of water or something) then queue up. Chances are that person will already be in a game or logged off. That way you don't get the same exact people, hopefully. :)

If you get a troll in one of your games, spend a minute or two online before you queue up again. I forgot to do this today and got the same moron two games in a row in my promos (although we won the second time because I basically sucked his dick to make sure he didn't start trolling again, ah the joys of ranked).

I think it could be useful if it only lasted like, 10-15 minutes tops, and time punishes you rather than them. Lets say player A ignores player B because B died three times, raged, screamed racial and homophobic slurs, then ran mid 30 times in a row to either die to champions or towers over and over again. When player A and Player B que up again after that match, and the game would match them together again, player A would get bumped to next game that he would have been placed in, increasing his wait time, while player B get's in normally. I would gladly wait an extra minute or two to not play with a toxic player that I just played with. Either on his team or against him. Making it last only 10 or 15 minutes is so it can't be abused to block certain players from being against you, and it will always time out by the time both of you finish your next game.

10 or 15 minutes might be too long for like, master or challenger level of play though so maybe they should have a shorter one, or just not have it work with them at all. I have no idea what the wait times are for leagues that only have a few hundred or few thousand players in them, but I bet they're loooooooong. Down here at wood 7 it would probably only be 30 or 40 seconds maximum time spent waiting in order to not play with a jerkface. And I'm pretty sure wood 7 has a higher ratio of jerkfaces to non jerkfaces than challenger :/
