I legit wonder how match making works.
To preface, I am a silver player. I consider myself a mid level silver player around silver 2-3. On my main account I am silver 3. On my board account which is perma'd, I was bronze. On my third account which I started playing, this was what happened during placement.
Why am I getting placed with upper gold and lower plat as an unranked player?
This was the result.
I struggled for hundreds, well thousands of games since season 3 on two accounts, my boards account and my main account and was never able to climb higher than silver 2. I played on my third account and got gold right after placements. I don't think it's fair for OG players to be stuck in low elo because they rolled bad teams during placements for previous seasons which ruins MMR, while someone fresh can get gold by just being lucky.
