i have some question about ryze

thank you for chose to help me, first my english suck i know it.Ryze was my favorite champion, after riot remake ryze i spend a lot time at practice, but it's so useless, i don't know how to use new ryze at all, i alway get s,s-,a something at ryze before remake, right now i have not get any b, i want know what is problem, i know new ryze is strong, i just don't know how to use him anymore. For me old ryze is like a super genius mage have a lot combo, and i need use those combo to keep passive on, new ryze is like 3 years old magic student( for me) "e,q" "e,e,q" "e,w,q" that is all he could do. i just want some suggest at how to parctice, how do i use skill for old ryze, and if i still suck i want know which champion is familiar to old ryze, i have to give up
