Season 6 Ranked Play is Honestly Terrible

Welcome to the season where you can run only a handful of items on any champion and have success. On-hit has gotten ridiculously out of hand with the new masteries this season. Every champ now feels like Annie or Yi, where you're either bursting down another champ instantly or hacking them to death with stacking buffs. In a season where I can literally run runic echoes, sated, or guinsoo regardless of my champion type and have a high percentage of success in ranked play, there's a freaking issue. The only way to counter this gameplay is to stale multiple lanes with tanks which makes the games extremely long and unrewarding. I think we need to find a new way to reward players for landing skill shots and autos that isn't a giant lightning bolt or some other ridiculous proc'd effect. The bottom line is every skill shots is becoming basically the same since on-hit is the current meta, and it's tearing apart diversity and replay value of ranked games.

Least enjoyable season ever.

Riot: " Season 6, the season of diversity"

Uuuuuh huh. I guess running adcs in every lane is the extent of their diversity.

I honestly just wanted Sated/Rageblade to be removed from the game. They are never in balance since they were made. They've always been either worthless or like you said, anyone can build them and do fine with it

My biggest complain with this season is the change to Grievous Wounds. I loved playing Soraka, but now, with the changes to Grievous Wounds, she's gotten out of hand and has received so many changes to balance her around the stupid changes.

Devourer is only good in low elo, Except Kindred, she's fucking broken. No one currently in gold (was plat last year just recently got back into ranked) where i'm playing is even banning Kindred which is quite a shock, but everyone bans Shyvana or Yi.

Anyways, I rarely ever see Rageblade. I think so far in the 21 ranked games i've played this season I've only seen rageblade twice and it was on Jax/Irelia.

I've even got the pleasure of versing a Yi in one of those games and he was never able to get off. I was able to successfully Invade and control lanes/Objectives and win the game before he even got to 20 stacks. Same thing with a Shyvana I went against, she was too weak early game and was able to just snowball my leads out of control.

I'm not sure where this concept of "Rageblade makes champions into gods" came from on these boards, It's only ever good to buy as a first item on top laners if you are super far ahead. Buying that item makes you extremely vulnerable mid game because you give up resistances/health. Health is by far the strongest stat to have mid game so giving up health for damage mid game is a huge risk to take.

I get that low elo players don't understand how to combat a stacking Yi/Shyvana, but they can't nerf those champions into the ground just because bronze/silver players can't play against it, because if they did then Diamond/Plat players wouldn't get to play them. Then we wouldn't have such a big pool of jungle diversity this year.

Jungle diversity has been the best it's been in the past 3 years that I've been playing this game. In season 3 we only had like Elise/Lee, I don't even remember season 4 so it must have been boring as shit, season 5 had the god awful jungle tank meta who everyone claims on these boards that it was the "best" jungle era, but tanks where broken at the time because they delt retarded amounts of damage and scaled incredibly well AND where unkillable. Cinderhulk was so broken that warrior junglers just started using Cinderhulk instead. Season 6 we can finally play marksman in other roles, which is something that's never happened in my time of playing the game and I find that incredibly exciting. Marksmen are incredibly fun to play and I love the jungle marksman playstyle at the moment. Graves and Kindred do need some nerfs, but I hope riot doesn't shut them out of the meta completely. Honestly I think most of the people here who complain on these boards about jungle marksmen haven't even tried them out for themselves or are just incapable of playing them. Which I find baffling because they are pretty easy to play compared to Lee.

So you're telling me that I can run Runic Echo's on Lee sin and win the game? You just said that I can run Runic on everyone, which doesn't make a lot of sense. Only most of the tank junglers and ap junglers run that item and that's fine, but saying everyone runs it is just absurd. I will agree however that tanks using the item is a bit of a problem since the item designed for them was Cinderhulk, but that item needs a complete rework in my honest opinion because damage is the stat to have early for junglers and mid game health becomes stronger. If they buff Cinderhulk again it'll only make tank junglers broken again which is a huge problem. Jungle is by far the most balanced this patch than ever (except for Kindred) because we can literally play anything. We can play every single champion category in the jungle. Marksmen, fighters, assassins, tanks, and even mages. They're all at least viable in the jungle. I couldn't say the same for the previous seasons I've played in.

Don't forget how easy it is to destroy towers due to them being made of wet paper and the damage they do allows people to tower dive at lvl 3 or below depending on the champions / circumstance. We don't have protection in lane, and every game as a Support- we're getting tower dived by the entire team at one point or we're doing it to their bot lane. It's stupid and not a legit strategy ... I want towers to protect, not us having to babysit them.

Graves is broken.

This is pretty much the cost Riot pays for removing point and click CC in order to try to increase game complexity.

Like seriously, that was the worst idea ever and really poorly thought out.

Ranked? Pvp in general has gone downhill since the snowballing and class-wide buffs.

Honestly, if Rageblade/devourer was as freaking broken as people claim it is, why is it just about never used in LCS? I get that it's abusable against disorganized teams, but honestly, from a organized gameplay perspective, all non ranged auto attack reliant champions are shit, believe it or not.

When was the last time you saw, Jax, Yi, Tryndamere or insert other AA reliant champion get contested in LCS? They don't get contested because there are far more abusable mechanics available at the moment, like having a barely killable Graves that literally heals damage comparable to fully built Tryndamere crit just from autos, or Poppy permanently stunlocking targets, while being unpeelable and knocking an entire fronline away or knocking up an entire team at will all while dealing retard damage and tanking like constantly ulted Alistar.

All that being said, yes, Rageblade/devourer is a bitch to deal with in unorganized play, but that hardly means it's even remotely imba. People will eventually adjust, because this meta is forcing people who want to climb to adjust, it's a bitch and this meta sucks ass, but that's just how it is.

This season's Top Lane has been the best compared to all the other seasons. Never before had we seen this diversity at top. So many mind games at champ select for Top... Can't be more glad that I'm a top laner this season.

Mid's kinda fine.. I can't say so for the other 3 - jg/bot/sp... the diversity on those 3 are pure bad.
