Why "attack move on cursor" is unbalanced
A-Move on cursor is an awesome tool, espically on champs like Draven and Kalista. It helps with every champ, even melee champs. there is a big problem, and can be very unfair. The issue is, it heavily favors the chaser over someone kiting back. Someone chasing can simply alternate left and right clicks with the cursor right in frount of whoever they are chasing while whoever is being chased has to a-move behind thier champ then quickly move command in front of themselves. This becomes even worse if you factor in the "target champions only" toggle key (hereafter referred to as TCO) because now left clicks for the chaser will ignore clicked minions and not waste an AA on an unintentional target or dropped ward and right clicks will spam AAs as usual. Poor ol' kiter does not benifit from this near as much. If the chaser misclicks an a move closer to a minion then the intended target they can just make a small adjustment before continuing to spam L/R click. Meanwhile Mr. kiter gets slightly closer to a minion and unless they have inhuman reaction, They will most likley already be moving the cursor toward thier move command and AA a minion and are NOT immune to ward blocks because the TCO function will not work with A move on right click. This means that mean ol' chaser can go as far as to spam right click untill they know thier intended target will be hit, wait long enough to not AA cancel and left click without moving the cursor at all and not worry about ward blocks tower blocks and larger minion blocks while the kiter gets zero of these benifits AND has to rapidly move the cursor around thier own champ while at the same time balancing leftclicks far enough that they won't stop moving before the rotation starts again AND rightclicking closest to thier target. It becomes EVEN MORE unfair if we are talking about a teamfight and one team is chasing/engaging and the other has to kite back as focus fire becomes WAY easier for the aggressors. Just Imagine Two Kalistas chasing/kiting with high attack speed. The chaser will get more AAs off AND more hops. Kiting Kalista will have zero chance.
Now lets throw in wave clear. Let's say one team has a velkoz ot God forbid a Sivir and the other team has little to no waveclear. Team Sivir can wait untill minion waves crash, clear it faster than Team Not Sivir switch and have attack move on cursor disabled thus allowing them to kite back behind thier own minions and while having perfect frount to back focus. If Team Not Sivir disables A Move on click they will hit minions untill they clear them and only then target champs, and then Team Sivir can disengage and esentually win the teamfight. That means Team Not Sivir must use the poor ol' kiter method while Team Sivir can use the minion wave to kite back AND have perfect front to back.
There are 2 ways to fix this that i can think of !. Remove A move from the game. (This will ruin a lot of champs and roles). 2. Allow "TCO" to apply to 'a move on cursor". (This would equalize chaser and kiter but IMO be too easy to do).
This seems to me to be a big problem that need to be fixed.
