A Possible Way to Deal with the College/LCS/Solo/Flex Balance Issues

Here's a crazy idea that just hit me. Here's the reasoning.

First, it's not much of a secret that a player good in solo queue does not translate well into LCS or collegiate team play. Second, it's also not a secret that some champs and items are difficult to balance because of various abilities that lead them to be absolutely dangerous in teamplay (e.g., Ryze's ult, the ardent meta, etc.). Third, the Riot staff have a headache trying to balance items - due to the fact that if you balance things for LCS, it can cause absolute misery in lower tier play. Fourth, Riot has shown that it is willing to consider the possibility of having items that are different for different maps or modes of play (e.g., Howling Abyss, Twisted Treeline, Summoner's Rift, etc.). Fifth, and finally, Riot has realized that the ranked teamplay experience is quite different from what one encounters in solo queue (e.g., consider the idea of how flex ranked was floated and now the [dubious] idea of Clash).

So, why not introduce some things (items, champion scalings, etc.) in LCS / team play that are not present in solo queue? In short, stop treating the teamplay game as being the same as the experience that most of the players actually come to League for. Put all those players on a separate server with the "team version of the game" with its slightly different items and slightly different champions - and balance the two versions of the game separately. So, if and when Clash does come in, then treat it as a different beast from the "regular" game.

Coming at the game from a complexity theory perspective, the team version of the game will always be different from the solo experience due to the fact that a bunch of players working together for a common purpose will always give rise to a version of the game that will have things emerge which will seldom, if ever, appear in games shambled together from a bunch of solo actors. Treating the team game as being the same as the solo games does not do either the game as a whole or its playing community any favours. Yes, I am aware that budgeting poses limits and restricts what the balance staff can do - but surely, the sooner it is realized that there are actually two versions of the Rift already present in the game, the sooner balance issues can actually be dealt with properly.

Just a few ideas, Riot devs.
