Why are most assassin champs so weak now?

Most of the assassin champs have been nerfed into the ground.

I remember how strong nocturne and rengar were years ago... now they can't even complete a jungle early in game.

There is so much CC now, often as a jungler I find myself getting locked up for a good 5 to 10 seconds, even in team fights.

Will riot ever fix this crap? Jungle is so damn weak to play now, I rather play support than jungle, i'd be able to help my team out much more as a good support with a bad jungle rather than a good jungle with a bad support.

Meanwhile the three most popular midlaners are assassins that are incredibly obnoxious. Four, if you count Ahri, but she's really more of a mage now and her burst isn't uncounterable like the others.

You basically just explained what the last patches have shifted the meta towards. More CC = Tanks Hard to Jungle Early = Preseason 5 Jungle Changes I disagree. Jungle is a very good to play right now since most are very strong. You won't be clearing as fast and hard as Season 4, but as long as you can bring something good to the table, you will be fine. Rengar and Nocturne are great junglers right now by the way.

Also, are you assuming the role you don't pick will always be bad? Also that Support is bad to play?
