My unimportant opinions of the game

Hey there, sorry in advance if this comes off like a broken record but I was referred by the Support Staff to voice my opinion here for the chance for developers to see what I (and possibly others) have thought about their designs. My main questions for the support staff were a few things:

First thing: What's the importance of having promotional games between divisions? (Example: going Gold 3 to Gold 2, Plat 4 to Plat 3, Diamond 2 to Diamond 1, et cetra.) Their answer to me was simply put: To keep the game "more competitive".

I honestly don't understand how it'd keep the game competitive. I can whole heartily agree that promotional series from one whole division to the next can keep their promotional games. To go from Silver to Gold is such a huge achievement to a player that you definitely feel like you earned it- people often make threads celebrating when they can make these achievements... Never from Gold 4 to Gold 3 and so forth. I have more complaints that will be justified in other questions... such as this next one:

**Second Question: After the initial 3 minute mark, if a player ragequits and forces the other 4 players to play throughout the game... Why do I, one of the fellow teammates to the person who ragequit, get punished in ranked games and lose LP? ** _Their answer to me: It's unfortunate that I had someone that ragequit and for me to properly report the player for doing so. _

I can see how people in higher elo could abuse this- the people in diamond and so being shitlords, I get it. But... at the same time I don't know how it's fair to me as another player. Why can't that person exclusively lose LP and I don't? I had to sit through the game while and forced to lose because another member on my team quit and made it overall unfair to not only me but my team mates that also had to suffer and wait out the rest of the match. Just... sucks.

Last but not least:

Why is that champions on their initially release have too much to their kit? They're answer directed me here

My thoughts are simple on it though- I understand it's easier to tone back than to scale up in mechanics to have a champion's release be something popular enough for people to try to out-of-pocket buy the champion (full price with skin bundle). But it's really... just... unfun. There's a lot of champions upon release that aren't really fun to play against nowadays it's just hard to really want to see them in your match (when released.) Here are the ones I went over in my original support post:

Pantheon: Fuck this champion. Strong Early and Mid Game. Decent Late game. Has too much potential for any lane or position and can simply shit on kids with- not only how fast their spear charge is. But with how the fact that they can have a free Braum shield every-what, 5 autos/spells plus the E's cooldown. On top of that the ratios are super high so Lethality works even better with him? IDK MAN, BALANCE TEAM CAN CLEARLY SEE THAT THIS IS TOO MUCH. Not fun for the Enemy to play against. Who wants to be dived by an unkillable spartan that doesn't even need to use their ultimate unless they wanna go back to lane? Beat's me dude. Qiyana: Her ultimate has a massive knockback PLUS the ability to stun on a huge AoE based on the terrain. I think the stun is... Eh? Like, as an assassin based champion she has way too much in her kit in a sense where her all in potential against an entire team makes her too good. I always thought Iconic assassins are supposed to be able to hit the backline- not the entire team and just kill them on their own accord. (Looking back at this point I'd like to suggest that she's not too bad to play against but then again being in Gold 2 in my Gold 1 Promos, I haven't really seen any players really "good" at the champion. Just my 2 cents now reading through this.) Yuumi: I abuse this champion because it's gross as shit. The ability to harass on her is so high. Sure, her Q has a high turn speed and the slow has been nerfed. But who cares when the missile speed can catch anyone on a screen. On top of that, the mana removal on her passive doesn't change anything in my opinion. Her Laning phase is just the same, just less guaranteed spamming. The shield is pretty strong for what it does and she simply has a Zoe passive minus the bonus damage. Her ultimate is strong, her Zoomies healing for MISSING HEALTH is gross too. Holy shit it's easier to let the enemy team try to burst down one of your own and heal them mid way than to try and heal early, on top of that having two charges on a low cooldown makes it nuts. Give Taric Yuumi's heal and watch his playrate skyrocket. Keep his current mana cost- it won't even matter because these champions build mana anyways. Shit's nuts fam. She's a gross enabler. Sylas: ... Er- excuse me what the fuck is with this champion? He has a dash, a hook, an on-hit heal. High AP scaling- the ability to turn all ults he takes into AP scaling abilities. I don't get why the champion needs sustain and healing from abilities. Or at least as much as he has. Like... My god get him down to 200 HP? Haha sike lemme hit that Dub-ya and get it all back with a short and sweet on-hit auto attack. Yeah, his release was disgusting and he's still scary to see played. Unfun to play against. Infuriating even. Neeko: Hey, Let's put a high scaling on her auto attacks due to her passive- no one will try to abuse that! (Everyone disliked that.) Granted, it's been nerfed but the identity of a "chameleon" for Neeko is not even there dog. She's supposed to be this stealth based champion that just... doesn't... really... have it? instead she's just some burst mage with a gimmick that isn't even relevant to the game. In regards to play against, her poke is annoying but she's not too bad... anymore. Riot had to gut her initial release in order to see her not abused anymore. Irelia: ..... hahha- next. I don't think I need to explain how released Irelia was ever fun to play against. In fact- first time I played her was in an ARAM game- Guess what? Pentakill. Just straight up dashed on everyone and killed them with her crazy shit. She's been tweaked so hard she's been forced to live under the San Fransisco freeways. You hardly ever (if you're lucky that is.) see her in Gold elo and lower. Just not worth it. Never fun to play against, now not even fun to play as (in general.) Akali: :) Wow, true invisibility. What a great mechanic. This won't be abu- wait, you're telling me despite it being immediately abused in PBE that... she... was still abused? And on top of that she doesn't have a range limit on her E- which Lee Sin has a range limit on his Q? What's with that? Why can she jump across the map while Lee Sin can't? Oh, is it because giving that ability to too many people shows how strong that is? Wow. Go figure. Not fun, never was and still isn't to play against. Next. Aatrox: Yeah. Not fun to play against upon initial release. Now hardly ever if ever played. Next. Pyke: I love his kit but even I know he's busted. Why did he get another buff for his ult where he gets DOUBLE GOLD? WHAT? EXCUSE ME? DOES HE ACTUALLY NEED THAT? JUST REVERT THAT CHANGE. HE WAS PRETTY SKILL BASED WHEN GUTTED FROM SOLO-LANE PYKE. THEN YOU JUST GIVE HIM THAT? Damn Riot how to make someone unfun to play against. I love the idea that he ignores shields with his ult but god DAMN the double gold is too excessive- even coming from a Pyke player. At first I thought the extra gold was cool but at this point it's excessive. just remove it, his kit is already strong as fuck without it. It's not fun to play against. Even as a Pyke player I know that. Kai'sa: Excuse me why does her Q have so much damage on a solo-targeted person? She's basically Vayne but with higher burst damage potential. I'm not even mad to play against a Vayne player. The only person that can be upset with a fed vayne are the people that fed her. Kai'sa though? Too safe, too much damage, too much diversity. Too much dog. Not fun. Zoe: "hey, we're going to change Nidalee from this spear poking from long range area and just spamming one ability... because 5 years from now we wanna apply it to another champion that gets an ability that has a range that can extend byond 3 screens worth of length depending on the terrain it flies through.- And with that ability it gives bonus damage to this ability that scales off of distance... with no cap." Hahaha, wow Riot what a fun champion to play against. On top of all that the ability to steal summoner spells that others have used- to gain summoner spells from creep waves and to deal even bonus damage on those summoner spells to champions. Yeah, not fun. Ornn: Pretty cool. Initially was intimidating but interesting to try and face. Extremely tanky... Kinda hard to smack but nowadays that tankiness doesn't matter because with all the bonus damage in the game you just kinda get to deal over 2k true damage on whim. Kayn: he's not really fun to play against. Even though his gimmick is so hard to properly use- it's just not fun to a degree. He needs buffs but definitely will need some things tweaked with it but I can see his kit being interesting to play around and against. Not good but definitely can easily be very unfun to play against real quick. **Xayah and Rakan: **Not bad, kit definitely need it's tweaks after initial release but overall wasn't just a complete pain in the ass. I liked Rakan's potential mechanics but it was definitely a bit too much. Now he kinda feels clunky but I can understand why it needs to be so. Pretty straight forward overall, not too bad to play against but had definitely need numbers tweaked- And last but not least that I wanna go over... C A M I L L E: man, what a lovely champ upon release. Look at those NUMBERS! Oh, not the damage resisted... or the damage done... Nannananaahhhhh. That B A N rate. She was banned so often if she managed to get in a game she'd be played essentially in any role and just smash ass no matter who was in the game. Definitely not fun to play against. What the fuck.

Honorable mention: Galio. I forgot to add him when initially typing but as you can tell I had a lot to say. Anyways, I'd like to see what you guys think of my topics and if I should look up things better on the board. I don't know where to really refer to as I've never used the board since starting League way back in the day. I'm just somewhat upset moreso based on the ranked stuff. I forgot to add more in regards to changing some aspects of Ranked but overall but if you're interested in my opinion of it just ask and I'll post it then :) Thanks.
