Fiddlesticks should be considered a Jungling Controller-Disruptor.
I think most people would agree a successful Fiddle ult is pretty "Disruptive" for the receiving team. I'll try to make the argument for it being his subclass; tagging him as "Unique Gameplay" doesn't seem very useful. Skim through and write what you think. Here's the rundown:
Controllers "Controllers are defensive casters that oversee the battlefield by protecting and opening up opportunities for their allies"
Disruptors "
![]()
(...) Disruptors specialize in locking down opponents or, in some cases, entire battlefields by creating intense zones of threat that only foolish enemies would dare wade through. Although not as reliant on their friends as Enchanters, the fragile and immobile Disruptors greatly benefit from allied presence - both to deter incoming danger and to help capitalize on targets they’ve locked down."
- While Disruptors are bundled with Enchanters, Zyra's & Anivia's inclusion shows this subclass can be damage-heavy like Fiddle.
- With his reliable lockdown (Q), Mini-zone control (W), dispersion (E) and more zone control through the threat of a deadly surprise initiation (R), Fiddle locks down opponents and entire battlefields, as is the defined class strength of the Disruptors.
- Fiddle is fragile & immobile, as is the defined weakness of the Disruptors.
- Also, Fiddle isn't as reliant on friends as Enchanters, but benefits from allies deterring incoming danger and capitalizing on locked down targets.
- Fiddle being a dedicated Jungler makes him unique among Disruptors, but a champions position has no bearing on the subclass they are defined as, as mentioned in the article.
(...) classes and subclasses are completely distinct from lanes and positions."
Now, do you agree or disagree? If this is the subclass-tag he should have, what implications could that have for his future balance- and gameplay direction, both in terms of patch-to-patch changes or a full VGU?
