I played Aatrox in ranked with the hotfix, here is my break down @MEDDLER PLEASE RESPOND
1)Reduction on cooldown helped noticeably in chasing down enemies and survivability. It didnt change much the ability to stack to Blood Rush.
2)Damage from W is near an acceptable level.
3)Extra Base health helped a lot.
4)These changes will probably move his win rate to 40-44%
However, here is the remaining issue--His Bloodwell and Passive.
Lets start with laning. You can't use your W and Q to farm because you may be building stacks only to get Blood Rush and have it drain because you aren't going to be fighting a champion, and recklessly using Q puts you at risk. Or you have to play this game where you stack 4 of 5 and then try to stay in combat with minions until you are ready to fight. Also, you can not stack at all to Blood Rush if you are trying to use your sustain off of minions. This is super annoying. I spent well over 90 percent of the match with no passive bonus and used my revive only 2 times. His passive is almost non-existent,
Furthermore, the cool down reduction on Q doesn't really help with building stacks--you aren't going to use your dive just for stacks. You are going to use it last when you engage possibly, or save it to chase. So the shorter cool down isn't really a factor in helping get to Blood Rush.
There are many times when you are moving towards a team fight and you are not able to build up to Blood Rush, which makes diving much riskier because you could maybe use you E and Dive in and ult and hit 2 champions, and still not have your Blood Rush, and no Revive.
Also for pure splitting, Aatrox doesn't benefit much from Blood Rush as it falls off as soon as you get it if you are just fighting minions. This makes his clear slower compared to a full blood well of higher attack speed. Since he is not building as much AD anymore, his Blood Price should do half of its damage to structures.
The solution is this:
1)Abilities and W Blood Price give 25% bloodwell instead of 20% 2)Blood Rush is sustained by combat with champions or combat and damage from minions or monsters (this will make his jungle stronger)
I think those 2 changes may pout him near the 50% win rate mark, and I would be satisfied with that and I believe I could climb in ranked with Aatrox. However
If you add in
3)AOE from ult affects minions and monsters 4)E damage back to magic damage
Then I think you will see him over 50% win rate.
