Leashing and Laners

I don't know about how botlane feels about leashing, but as a top laner, i despise leashing because of;

  1. My jungle is a dick and makes me start the leash, if I dont I will waste time, and make me come to lane with ~100 missing hp

  2. Leashing makes enemy top get to control the wave, so they can tank the minions as they come into the lane to aggro onto 1 minion, maybe even get through all 3 melees before I can get to lane, and they have 6 fresh minions, while I have 3 making trading hard, because a single auto will make all those minions eat up your ass with your level 1 stats. You also lose exp, which is alot in top lane.

There is so many times I get win lane because my opponent leashed, even if they didn't tank.

2 Solutions - Either make minions come into lane 5-10 seconds later, or make jungle camps spawn 5-10 seconds sooner. Either or has to give.

EDIT: to clear things up, i dont mean topside minions/ jungle spawn changes, i mean the whole map

you shouldn't miss any farm by leashing, and by tanking the camp for your jungler, they can clear with more health and gank more easily for you. you can generally take more advantage of health regen than a jg, since you're not constantly tanking minions.

The thing is if you choose either it'll make this terrible for each separate option. If you made camps spawn sooner, it makes it the "Meta" to start top always, picking a non mana heavy champ if it's not blue buff first meaning if you start bot jg you'll be behind. If you make minions come later then top lane will have no use being in top lane for the first few seconds and can go down to their team.

Edit: Also having your lane pushed in isn't that bad, it allows more space for your jungler to gank you pre-3 or 3 If he can clear fast enough...

Shit, I ain't tanking minions for a Jg ever as top lane and as a Jg I don't expect people to tank for me. If they don't wanna start it, I'll walk away once my "leash time" is up. The idea of a leash is to give the Jg a good start but not by putting other lanes behind. I don't ever miss any farm cause I leashed either.

I don't think they need to make any changes over this.

Though I agree that I don't like leashing when I'm playing top lane, at least if I'm playing a melee champion. I'm more likely to tank damage for them, even unintentionally. I've got longer to walk after leashing and I can't leash effectively over walls. And leashing almost never has a follow up gank attached to it so I lose some time in lane for nothing.

But like I said, changes aren't necessarily a good move for it. Junglers should just be aware that they're less likely to get a leash and they're less likely to get a good leash up top. =\
