possible ideas for Morde rework.
so a little intro. im an ex morde main. played morde the most out of all the champions over the years that i played LoL i started back somewhere in 2011.
been there with the old old morde his high's and his low's was there with the rework the high's and the lows.
tbh i almost quit playing league after the whole botlane fiasco morde just wasnt morde to me. sometimes i pick him up for old times sake.
short list of what is wrong with morde.
- no gapclosers, cc, mobility and worst movement speed in the game, this is downright crippling for any champion in the game's current iteration.
- worst base health and health regen stats for a "tanky" melee juggernaut to add insult to injury champions who are suposed to die fast have better health and hp regen then him how fukked up is that?
- doesn't do better damage, has less durability and less tankyness then all the other juggernauts.
- has no actual skillshots, so no real outplay potential making him very binary.
- passive and ult are in their current form impossible to balance.
others have gone into great detail so I will try and spare you an essay to read (also I'm a really bad writer)
disclaimer: **I understand that Riot will have their own idea on how to design champions, and as much as people like to say that they don't listen to their playerbase I have seen them take inspiration from rework ideas posted by said playerbase (can't expect them to follow our advice to the letter) ** so without further delay:
passive: Iron Revenant.
morde does not gain health regen in the classic sense. instead he feeds on the suffering of other's this eventually translates into hp regen. for every enemy minion, monster, epic monster and enemy champion's death morde will gain a small amount of base health regen. gains X for minions and small monsters. gains x for siege, super and big monster minions. gains X for epic monsters and enemy champions.
ult: 1 hand in the grave. Morde latches onto an enemy champion with his iron will.
A big spectral hand travels to targeted enemy champion and creates a bond, this bond lasts for 10 seconds and can only be broken with Mordekaisers death. as long as the Bond remains Mordekaiser and the enemy champion will have vision on eachother.
both Mordekaiser and his target will suffer increased damage by 10/20/30%(or whatever is balanced.) 30 % of all damage done to the target will be converted into a shield for mordekaiser. 30% of all damage done by mordekaiser will also be converted into a shield.
if the target dies before the end of the duration he will grant Mordekaiser and his team vision of his allies for the next ten seconds. Mordekaiser will also receive 20% of the targets max health and health regen. his Passive gain for this kill/assist is trippled however can only be trippled with each unique kill.
for the remainder of the game a part of the targets ghost will float around Mordekaiser untill it is replaced by another poor soul. Mordekaiser can also place this ghost down as an invisible uncontrollable ward for 30 seconds.
E: Despair. X sec CD animation: a spectrall skull or lightning bolt length and with would be around the same as velkoz W
deals 6% missing hp as physical, 6% as magic damage minions/monsters will receive an aditional 6% missing as true damage.
will travel until an enemy champion is hit and will ground that enemy champion for 1->2 seconds. each minion/monster killed with this will reduce the cooldown by 1 second.
so a skill shot not too hard to land but no longer a poke yet still usefull for farming and lasthitting champions.
W: Sorrow And Harvest. Passive: enemies too close to Mordekaiser (300 units?) will receive a stacking debuff that reduces their total damage done. Active: deals damage based upon the stacks of sorrow to enemy champions. (range is about 650-1000 units again whatever would be balanced)
Q: Mace of Spades. 3 charges X second cooldown. activate to deal bonus damage aplies on hit effects and spell effects. also adds a stack of sorrow to enemy champions
base stats. Should be worthy of a true juggernaut.
