The state of Wukong and Caitlyn

The state of both of these guys is so gross right now that I honestly feel like taking year break from league. These are my too favorites so yeah I'm biased but why would you ever pick any one of these two in there respective roles when jinx or jhin both do everything cait does but better and maybe every top can cheese Wukong out of lane with poke that he simply does not have. Not to mention that he really only has 3 abilities because that clone fools NO ONE!

Wukong was also considered trash tier back in Season 2 when I decided to pick him up. Didn't really get serious with him until around Season 3.

If you pick your champion just because they're strong, don't say that they're your favorite.

I can't really say for Caitlyn, but I play a lot of Wukong myself and he really isn't that bad.

He has no sustain in lane, but his base damage compensate for that in the early game. Wukong is one of the handful of champions that can fight Quinn Poppy and Fiora in lane. Wu can match Poppy's BS base damage, he can gap close reliably against Quinn, and he does decent against Fiora with a stealth disengage.

His teamfight is one of the best with is ultimate as well.

His only downside is that he gets absolutely destroyed by champions such as Irelia, Pantheon, or Malphite who can match his early game damage but mitigate damage as well.

I don't think Wukong is bad. He just has a surprisingly high skillcap due to decoy tricks and the positioning you need to catch people and get the best ults. He lacks sustain and isn't tanky unless he itemizes it but he has good burst. They are making a very tiny QoL buff to him soon anyway. Currently, when you press S, it's not the same as your decoy. The decoy stops less smoothly and has some animation differences. They will make these stop in the same way for a future patch so it's less obvious when he just presses S instead.
