You either have mobility or you get to watch the people with mobility play the game at your expense

There's literally no punishing misplays anymore because everyone that's viable has mobility. Catch Shaco out? Q away if he doesn't one shot you first. Lee is in your jungle? He'll dash away if he doesn't one shot you first. Zed gets caught? Dash away if he doesn't one shot you first. Talon gets caught? He'll jump away if he doesn't one shot you first. Akali gets caught? She'll disappear and then dash away if she does't one shot you first. Yasuo caught? He'll dash away if he doesn't one shot you first.

Really good game you've created here now!

Most of the "immobile" champions have plenty of ways to run a single target down. Almost every single one has plenty of CC (either in kit or in build), or has high enough base MS to catch you.

Nasus isn't mobile at all, but there's no way in hell you're escaping him in a 1v1.

People act like CC is somehow unique to immobile champions, which gives them an advantage over the mobile champions, which have dodge advantage over all of the skillshots in the game now, but at the same time generally have enough CC of their own to mitigate, or completely negate, any CC that a non-mobile champion might have.

All of the examples your provided have some form of CC in their kit, except for akali, and it's no weaker than the soft CC that the immobile champions have.

Really what needs to happen is riot needs introduce more short - medium range silences, in order to punish the AD melee caster class of champions. Then add more grounded, and not just grounded applied to some kind of static zone slow like Cass W and Singed W, I mean as an actual debuff that's on the champion for a second or so. Grounded without slow is quite literally the only mechanic in the game which can specifically impact mobile champions more than immobile champions, but that means nothing while the two current instances of it also combine it with a massive slow.

The main problem why mobile champs are so much more efficient right now is because everyone is dealing so much damage in my opinion.

The time window to kill someone was much bigger before season 8, so you had to take a lot more risk when going in. Mobile champs just didn't succeed as much at killing their opponent.

Nerfing this ridiculous amount of damage in the game will make immobile champions viable again - I'm pretty sure of that.

Tell me again how mobility makes or breaks a champion...

Almost none of the champions I play have mobility but I never have an issue. The thing with most immobile champions is that if you land a single ability, you did your job. This is mostly speaking from my Taric experience because I'm basically a Taric one trick. Here is a good example video. I was unable to do anything to Swain in top lane for most of the early game because I could never stun him. He had phase rush and I could never avoid his snare. He was baited into my range with a Rengar gank though which allowed me to kill him with a single stun. This is a fairly common occurence when I play Taric top or jungle. I can sit back trying to get a stun off on a ranged or mobile champion while constantly getting poked and doing no damage to them. As soon as I land a single stun though, they almost always die.

I don't agree with this. The problem is that everyone wants to be the person setting up the play. So the problem more lies in the fact that you either:

  1. Have mobility and get to be aggressive in setting up plays

or

  1. Have to wait for the other team to attempt a play on you and then turn it in your favour.

The massive problem is that a lot of people really really do not like to do play style 2 correctly because they can deem it to be boring. I can see why a lot of people don't like it, but that doesn't mean that immobile champions are bad, they just are not as fun to play.
