Kicked out during Champion Select?

So I was in a ranked queue and sat int he lobby waiting for my turn to pick my champion. The enemy leader had first pick and I was second pick on our team. He picked Swain and after he locked, I was kicked out of the game immediately after it became my turn to pick. I got a notification saying I was kicked for failing to pick a champion and still lost the 3 LP and received a wait time before being able to re-queue. Anyone else ran into the problem before?
