Shen sucks - The community has woken up at last

Shen is balanced. We keep saying it but is it true? I've a pretty good experience with Shen (+1000 ranked with him). During the first part of S4 he was a decent pick but nowadays he's useless. I'm saying that Shen needs buffs or a rework from S4 because of how the game is evolving but they kept saying me "Nop, he's balanced". Now I see that FINALLY the community realized how bad he's. Sorry for wall of text but this forgotten and weak champion deserves it.

ULTIMATE His famous "game-changing" ultimate doesn't change anything.

• Cool down: 200 / 180 / 160
• Shield: 250 / 550 / 850 (+ 135% AP)

Since every single Shen has 0 AP, the shield is just as it is: 250 every 200 seconds / 550 every 180 seconds / 850 every 160 seconds. Meanwhile the shield of Riven... anyway I noticed one thing after all these games with Shen. Now it happens a lot a thing that in past was pretty rare. You ulti someone and your ally dies before you can complete the teleport. This happens because RIOT keep increasing damage and releasing high damage champions. Let's be serious. When you ulti your ADC your 250 / 550 / 850 shield is pulverized by 1-2 autos of enemy ADC or few spells of the APCarry not considering a Leblanc, Nidalee or Zed that destroy your shield like if it's made of butter. The ultimate for what is does (nothing now) even has the biggest cool down of the game and a Shen can't build CDR except for Spitit Visage.

DAMAGE Yes he's a tank. He's not supposed to deal damage but explain me... is him supposed to almost constantly deal the same or less damage of the support too? He's the tank that deals the lowest damage in this game even with crazy full damage builds against noobs. Explain me why all other tanks (Volibear, Gnar, Malphite, Maokai, Sion, Garen, Wukong, Renekton, Jarvan, Hecarim, Cho...) always devastatingly win 1vs1 him. With your Shen you can't engage anyone with 30/40% HP when you're full HP. There are no trades that you can win. You can only fight 1vs1 against the enemy support if you have the necessary time (years). He's so weak that enemy top could freely roam for minutes leaving the lane and keep his teleport for ganks on bot lane since you need years to destroy a turret.

NERFED Yes, he has been indirectly nerfed a lot with time. Warmog and Atma Impaler were decent items on him but RIOT nerfed the first and removed the other one. Thank you.

NO AVAILABLE ITEMS In addition to the nerf of Warmog and deletion of Atma Impaler, there would be 2 very good items for Shen: Frozen Heart and Trinity Force. Total cost for both items is 6153 gold but we get +600 mana too... mana on Shen? In practical terms a Shen wastes 1600 gold everytime he buys Frozen Heart and Trinity Force since mana is an useless stat on him. 1600 is an huge amount of gold! Here's why most of Shen players simply don't buy them because it's not worth. So here's the condlusion. A Shen can buy as first item Sunfire cape or Spirit Visage. Second item Randuin or Banshee. Third item Thornmail or the nerfed Warmog. What a wide selection of items (yes, it's sarcasm). We have 6 items to fill 5 slots. Great!

ILLOGICAL BONUS Passive scale on HP (nerfed) and AS (slow as fuck). Q scale on HP. Q, W, E, R scale on AP (0 AP). He needs CDR (can't build it). He also needs movement speed and tenacy or he can't taunt properly. Lastly he also needs AR, MR (doesn't scale), AD (sometimes I feel like my AD goes down everytime I level up). Really, what else? How the hell can I focus on so many things not to mention the lack of items for him? And the funny thing is that the only stat that he doesn't need (mana) is in the items that he should rush! - Frozen and Trinity. Everything in this game seems to be against him. He scales off what he doesn't build and all his AP multipliers are a joke (what is worse than X + zero?). But it's not over here! The most stupid thing is that he also has bonus in constrast with each other. Q heals you for 3 seconds so you should attack only every 3 seconds to maximize sustain but in the same time your passive wants you to spam auto attacks. Ok. This is a joke.

GAMEPLAY In lane he has a super weak early game. Just think about the fact that in early Tristana and Graves have almost the same amount of HP, AR, MR and Health Regen and of course damage of Shen. Really, who's the tank? In mid game he should be OK and in late game OP but in fact he's not because the mid/late game of almost every other champion is lot better than his one! Nasus? Heca? Sion? Gnar? Irelia? Maokai? And above all there are some champions that just need 1 item, single good engage or stacks to be effective (Irelia and her Trinity, Riven, Fiora, Nasus...). A Shen is a pile of shit without an almost finished build and he can't do anything alone. In past he was a decent split pusher because of his R. He forced enemy team to go back in lane to defend. It's the same thing that a Shaco, Jax, Yi, Tryndamer does but now enemy team just ignores you and keep pushing 4vs5 not considering you and the reason is simple. Shen needs hours to push a lane! Enemy team can just ignore you. Lastly in lane he he can't farm easily, he can't poke, he can't heal hitting minions because everyone can zone him and lasthitting is problematic because of his low damage, attack and movement speed.

HE DOESN'T CHANGE You can't imagine how many builds I tried to use. I think that I tried something like 80+ builds in 3 years even ones with Energy regen and Energy bonus. I played him with all possible combinations of items, crazy ones too, focusing on different game plays (poke, passive, aggressive, balanced...) and even with smite top to rush Cinderhulk and get a better version of Sunfire Cape with more HP. I also played him as my main support during S4 and jungler between S4 and S5. The score, damage and problems I have are always the same. In other words it seems that everything I do changes nothing. Games are always the same with my team that lacks of damage because of me and then eventually lose. Yes because playing with a Shen in team is like playing 5 vs 4,5 players.
