Support Grading - For Better or Worse?

Ever since** the patch where they made assists have the same weight as kills for the support role**, I have barely gotten S-, S, and S+ when playing supports despite doing very well. I'm not referring to the games where i have 2-3 deaths and 30+ assists, because I know once I die once I lost my S regardless of my other numbers (it wasn't like that before the patch in question). I'm referring to the games where I've gone 0/0/15+, or the 2/0/20+ games where I still don't get an S.

Has anyone else had the same difficulties since that patch? Can any rioters please comment on this?

Btw my motto is "Always the support, never the carry" because of the grading system Q.Q (Yes, I know you can carry as a support, just a joke on how we're never graded as such)
