Yi health regen

SO I have to wonder sometimes if I haven't encountered a Riot employee "goosing" their account or something. My latest encounter was with an unkillable Yi. I play Yi, I know a lot of people that play Yi, and I am very familiar with him and his abilities. But someone explain to me please how a Yi with no armor, no MR, no health regen, and no AP can W while sitting in the middle of an MF E AND and MF ult, while also being attacked with everything 2 ADDITIONAL players have - and GAIN health. I went into to my masteries and runes and maxed out healing effects, and in a final effort to match this healling build a full AP Yi and brought him to level 18 (bot game), got him almost killed, then used W - and STILL was not matching the healing rate. Comments? Oh, and I forgot to mention - AP MF doing massive damage with E and R.

level 5 W heals for a stupid amount, on top of a HUGE % damage reduction (70% at rank 5). This healing is increased with missing hp, so you are looking at something like a 700-800 hp heal at 25% HP on top of the damage reduction THAT ISN'T AFFECTED BY PENETRATION. I believe this bit is the important bit, as many people are used to seeing armored/MR'd targets go down quick due to penetration, but your black cleavers/dominiks/lethality doesn't work like tat in this case.

not surprised that he gained health, but the way you are describing it is as if he regained his full hp bar or something, which is unlikely. He will outheal the dps you were putting on him, but probably not by a lot.
