Custom games can ban?

I was recently playing some custom games with my brother, but we had some chores to do so we left for a few minutes and after the game, we ended the game I wasn't given the message of the queue timer, But then I got a 5 game queue timer. I'm actually pretty mad about this can anyone give any insight on this?
