...can APs get it too? I mean we're especially hurting for AP fighter itemization and a free shield @ w/e health threshold would really help in that respect.
It could be a hybrid AP, CDR, and HP item (think Hextech Proto or pre-rework GLP before the health got removed (something like swapping out the mana on it for more CDR and HP)) with the Lifeline passive or some other alternative perhaps the bleed function from Death's Dance coupled with something else?

If this were to happen it should have to replace an already existing ap defensive item. Having a Zhonya's, Banshees and the AP vesion of lifeline... I don't want to even think about Akali (Or katarina) with all the three.

Also, it should share the unique passive with the Phantom Dancer Lifeline, Kai'sa would be a pain if not.

Though i don't agree with the lifeline ap item, since ap already have a item 3040 , I really like that item 3812 passive on an AP item so you can splitpush and duel as an AP-carry.

Tbh all I want is proper AP itemisation so champs like Sylas and Diana can actually function as AP divers and not just tankier assassins. Even more so considering that Riot recognise Mordekaiser as being an "AP juggernaut" and are keeping that with his VGU, although the itemisation for it just doesn't exist.

The problem is that items like that can be open to abuse by assassins. Standard mages can be locked out simply by making the item melee only. Assassins on the other hand are usually melee.
