Solution to "broken" picks in alternative modes.

Seeing 10 Shaco in row kills the fun for me. Increasing bans also doesn't solve anything, people simply move on to slightly less broken champs.

The solution is to make people alternate between champs. Make that so the same person cannot pick the same champ the next 2 games, if they win previous match.

I think this is a reasonable request. Everyone can picks whatever they want, but if they win, next game they have to play something else. After 2 games, they can go back to play whatever they want.

Forcing someone to not play a champion just because they are good at them sounds logically incorrect.

What do you think is broken?

The standard 'broken' picks feel far weaker than what I believe is broken. I never played Maokai prior to this weekend. I got an S- on my first game, an S+ since then, have a total record of 15-3 on him including the last 13 straight. Which is great, because I lack a true tank top laner (the core of my pool was JarvanIV Gnar Quinn Volibear) and I now know who's going to fill that gap - which is why I've been spamming him to get used to teamfight mechanics, etc...

Everyone has different ideas of what is broken in each mode. In this one it seems to be these guys getting banned: MasterYi Katarina Khazix MonkeyKing Singed Poppy Sona XinZhaoShaco etc... And yet I'm pretty sure the strongest three champions in the game mode are Maokai Rammus Taric . I mean, stats don't lie and we've got results from last year (Taric isn't on the list because he had too few games played, but IIRC he was a really high win rate last year as well, and he feels strong when I play with/against him this year): https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/2g9e8z/ascension_mode_win_rate_statistics/

To get more directly to your point though: Lots of people will own 3+ OP picks and will just rotate between them. It won't suddenly make a weak champion more popular on the game mode. Those of us with only 1 strong pick will have pretty weak games when we're forced to swap out. In either case, people will be less happy not getting to play what they want.

The only possible solution I could see is to make a random queue for the special gamemode where each player is assigned a champion to play. I'd want it alongside the normal mode because most people will want to play something in particular. For those who want to see some variety, you get the random mode.
