Disconnected from the game and wont give option to reconnect

I was 10min into a game that was a free win for me. I all of a suddenly disconnected the game and it wouldn't reconnect so i left the game to restart it. After I quit the game, it put me straight to the home screen and was unable to go to back into the game. I was able to go into another game right away even when the game was still in progress. Anyone else had this type of problem before?
