"Attempting to Reconnect" BUG!!

Was about 7-12 minutes into my game as Irelia laning against Renekton. After I died, it started to say Attempting to Reconnect. I waited for like at least 30 seconds then quit to rejoin.

But that didn't happen, when I quit, it went back to the normal lobby menu screen. It was like that game didn't happen at all, and I could just go in queue again. Is this a bug? Will I get banned ?! T_T HELP
