Mage update produces less than spectacular results

With all the hype around the new mage update, I can't feel that we're being cheated. Those champs we felt needed to be updated were reworked in such a way that even playing with or against them now feels toxic. For example, playing against a Malzahar jungle he never had to back until having two full items, took zero damage in the jungle due to the ability to spam his voidlings, and was able to always have his spell shield active negating almost all major burst damage. Pardon my french, but what the fuck was riot thinking with such a toxic kit like that. The numbers of viewers and players of league of legends has dropped since last year, and I'm beginning to see the reason why. I still love the game, and will continue to play, but seriously riot please get everything together and start releasing playable updates.
