Let's fix the DC problem riot

Okay so we have all been there. You're 4 minutes into your final ranked promotion game for the next division, the laning phase has teed off beautifully with the sun shining, the minions bustling hurriedly to their deaths, the champions vying for cs. Suddenly you notice a disturbance. "A summoner has disconnected." Your premade bot combo (on the same internet) has just disconnected. Maybe their internet dropped, maybe a cruise missile hit their house, regardless, now you're down two players in the laning phase. No problem, you think, they'll be back in a minute max, it is ranked after all. Minute two passes, sweat begins to drip down your brow, the enemy jungler notices the lack of a bot lane and pushes it down to the inhib tower. Now bot is free roaming and ganking top and mid indiscriminately. It's like the 1939 invasion of Poland all over again, 7 minutes have passed and you can barely remember how things got as bad as they did. Top has now given 5 kills, sure maybe his positioning wasn't great but their isn't much you can do when you're getting 4 man ganked and no one else can put pressure on the lanes. Minute 10 passes, the other team is as apologetic as can be about your dc problem while they smash your third inhib into the ground and their minions roll into base. You can literally feel your lp lowering as each second ticks by, raging inside your head, wondering why the summoners have been cruel to you this day, why they have chosen to stick you with the kids who are playing league from mexico city using taco bell's wifi. The nexus blows up, the nightmare is over. You check your lp, -18. In reflection you wonder why you are being punished for the sins of two others. Sins that you could have done nothing to avoid. In no way are you responsible for the disconnection of your teammates yet here you are, stuck back in your old division with the toxic ragers and the casual trolls.

With this devastatingly personal story, I now plea that we do something about this Riot. I'm no genius, I don't have the answers, I just know there is a problem. Maybe after a certain disconnection timer the team with the dc doesn't lose lp? Maybe we distribute the dc offender's gold income to the dc victims? You have an entire gaming company at your disposal and this phenomenon is something that every league player has experienced. It is discouraging to all players and may even sway them to give up league (for 3 hours max). You have a wonderful game here, you've made so many positive technical changes over the years, now I think it's time we focus on improving the community and user experience.
