Why is veigar still in aram?

Multiple champions were taken out of URF for being too op. But veigar gets left in ARAM as a playable champion when getting him on a team is an immediate 70% increase in chances of a win. He takes one kill to start snowballing to the point of deleting two squishies while the tank is sent on stuncation in the bahamas for a week. Why not be fair in all gamemodes, instead of just the one that's actually worth playing?

while the tank is sent on stuncation in the bahamas for a week.

I've never seen a better quote for a stun lmfao [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

Because if they got rid of one problem champ, they would have to get rid of ALL of the problem champs. Ziggs Amumu Jhin Varus SonaZilean etc etc etc, basically any champion that benefits from having 1 single lane, and ways to obscure it or make it even smaller than it is by having to avoid shit on the ground, or any champion that is basically impossible to miss with on the map, like poke champs. Or SUPER ENGAGE champs like Malphite , like where the hell are you supposed to go to dodge his ult lmao.

Veigar isn't OP in aram at all. There are worse champions to deal with...

Tbh hes not an issur lol. He'll never q stack enough to oneshot with ult and his main use is his E which you can completely counter with snowballs. One thing i would like to see in aram though is some logarithm to make sure one team isnt basically the winner in select where they get all the ranged poke champions vs the unlucky 5 man melee with nonpoke whatsoever gettinf their tower taken before lvl 6. There has to be some logarithm to even the playing field in some way. But i guess this is against the all random idea of the game mode. But tbh this happens too often. I rarely get an aram game that isnt a stomp from the start

Ignoring specifics about champ balance, URF is a temporary mode while ARAM is a permanent one. If Riot disables a champ in URF, fans of that champ miss out on a weekend or two at worst. On the other hand, if Riot disables a champ in ARAM, fans of that champ miss out indefinitely.

ACKCHUAULLY veigar has 58% winrate in aram. Ziggs and Sona both have 66% winrate, why aren't you complaining about them instead?

you need to be braindead to not win with veigar

problem is his AP has no cap, so 30 minutes game he will have 1000+ ap. that's broken

I have thought plenty about this. and though im just a lowly unranked casual aram an occasional rift player. I feel, That some insight could be provided.

  1. aRam - All Rando All Mid. when we break this down. to its 3 or 4 components; we are left with less than a handful of info. ALL, meaning blitz, heim, vinegar, zyra; plenty of champs that have aoe or single target abilities that can be highly optimized on the abyss.

  2. The Arrggghhh in aram. Random. This is literally rolling dice,.. so to speak. I'm sure rito puts in this to add a slight tinge of balance. but it really does feel random if your champ pool is bigger than like 15. As i bought more champs and the trade off of being or seeing vinegar slowly started opening up more diverse games. It was directly related to my own champ pool the amount of entropy I had in my own champ pool. I just hit 55 champs. and starting back in i believe '12 or '13 i have invested slight time into this game. Tho I'm no pro I still have seen plenty of games. And to update the ideas that were used in the past to counter veigar, they all have been eliminated.

The Snowball or any sort of tp or dash that passes the barrier [(E) Veigar's] will stop you in place. snowball, warwick's q, jarvin, tree dude(ivern) they all get stopped and add stacks to vinegar's passive.

There is no longer a reasonable random counter that makes any more sense than zil going full ad crit that can reasonably counter viegar. [ Zilean with gunsoo's, nashor's, ludens, liandry's, warmong's, and RoA. could maybe do the job. but still a risky build seeing the playstyle changes a butt load doing this.

the counters exist, and I understand I counter my own argument by saying that I feel aram is supposed to have a highly random element to it. all being a key word used twice in the title of the game type.

that being said, i countered a veigar as i wrote this post and hope everyone can enjoy veigar as an opponent and a teamate
