If Riot wants us to play with friends, they should make it easier to play with friends

If you're anything like me, you have relatively few IRL friends who play league. Furthermore, of those friends, even fewer are at or near your skill level. Of those, fewer have similar schedules that allow you to play together. Of those, fewer still have similar goals within the game, and of those, even fewer compliment your main roles/champions/playstyle. You get the idea; basically, having a solid group of IRL friends to climb with is so rare, every time it comes up Riot makes a freaking documentary about it.

Therefore, most of the people on your friends list are people you either met in game or on Boards/somewhere on the internet. Not sure about you, but I don't give out my personal email/cell number/skype to my internet friends. Therefore my options for getting in touch with them are limited to wherever I met them, and/or in the client.

I know a lot of people have complaints about getting rid of solo queue/substituting dynamic queue, but even if players want to find groups of people to play with (and if you look at the Team Recruitment board, a lot of people do), it's incredibly difficult to get something going, and furthermore to keep it going, since your only way of contacting other players is either sitting in client until they log on, or stalking down their last comment on Boards and making an off-topic comment.

At the very least there should be a way to PM offline friends (only friends, not random people) in client or on Boards (preferably both). Once you have a group of people to play with, you should be able to join a team, and on doing so, get a private Board just for your teammates to discuss strategies or even just to figure out a time to play. Voice chat rooms just for your friends would be ideal as well.

Maybe Riot is working on some of this stuff already, maybe some of it is coming with the client update, who knows. It's just premature to introduce dynamic queue when there's so little support for it in client or in boards.
