LAN lobbies

Is it just me, or is it inconvenient to play bot matches? Currently the only options to play against bots are co-op VS AI and creating a custom game, both of which require the same connection as a normal game. I was hoping that making LAN lobbies or a special bot mode that would let people with poor connection, like me, practice the game. Possibly create an option in custom games to enable local lobbies.
