Yasuo issues and possible rework
Hi there! This a long post about my thoughts on changing yasuo/reworking him, so be ready. A TL;DR is below.
So to start off, Yasuo is a great champion. He is something unique and brings a new "synergy" into league with this team fight potential. However, his wind theme and kit design do NOT go hand and hand. Riot specifically stated that they want champions to be more unique and defined based on their theme. This is something I believe Yasuo needs a rework on.
Before I delve into any changes, let me first tell you what Yasuo is. His lore states: Yasuo is a man of resolve, an agile swordsman who wields the wind itself to cut down his foes. So pretty obvious here that he loves wind and he uses wind to destroy his opponents. So basically my changes that I am going to present to you really delve into the thematic aspect of wind in Yasuo's kit (which he doesn't really have currently). The current problem with Yasuo's kit is there is more utility based nonsense which forces him to almost play mid only which I believe is wrong. I believe he should be a top laner, and I will show you with my changes below.
So with wind in mind, lets take a look at Yasuo's kit:
**Passive (2): Shield and Double Crit: **
The shield is perfectly find as it is generated from "wind", but why double crit? Does he really need it? It makes him too strong and that's why he was nerfed in the wrong parts of his kit in the first place. REMOVE double crit entirely.
Secondly, Add power back into his shields and his shield regen should be higher. Yasuo is a melee DPS and needs bulkiness. He is not a 1 shot assassin.
Q: Is perfectly fine ~wind
W: Is perfectly fine ~wind - Just a thought, maybe only let yasuo use it when his flow bar his full and have it consume a full flow bar or half or something I don't know lets not make it complicated right now.
E: Dash:
This ability is good because it gives him mobility with windddddddddddddddd (you get the idea). Also its a dash so remove any damage ratios from it. He doesn't need damage from his E.
Secondly, make it so every x amount of dashes gives him a % of his flow back
R: Last Breath:
The most satisfying ability to use in the game in my opinion, I just love slam dunking entire teams, but there is a problem, the damage is incredibly underwhelming.
Here is my idea, remove armor penetration seriously it is so pointless has nothing to do with wind. Add more damage to his ult and make it so his Q can be used the second after his ult is done.
TL:DR - Basically the above changes are more unique to Yasuo with wind type stuff. Less broken type damage stuff and less random junk and more unique wind thematic elements. This I believe could make Yasuo a much more fun champion and a LOT less annoying to deal with. I also believe it could make him a more mechanically based champion with actual skill. RIght now it seems hes just a burst, squishy, something, whatever to call it I don't know.
