Returning Avarice Blade to Balance AD Item Prices?

After watching a Tobias Fate game where he purchased Spelltheif's for more gold, I figured that Avarice Blade may be a good enough way to bring some power back to assassins and AD carries. I haven't given much thought to this, but it seems like something worth considering. Share your thoughts in the comments!
