Why Karma is like Star Wars

Here's my reasoning, comparing the older Starwars Originals (4 - 6) and the newer Prequels (1 - 3) with Old Karma (V1.0.0.110 - 3.5) and New Karma (3.5 - live):

  • The newer version is generally better received, but hated by the original fans.
  • The newer version is visually and mechanically more interesting, but lacks the original charm and themes.
  • The older version had a unique concept, but used to be only interesting to a very small group of diehard fans.
  • Those diehard fans usually won't shut up about the superiority of the original (I'm including myself here)
  • Pray that you don't meet a fan of the old version and a fan of the new version at the same time at the same place.
  • The general public mostly doesn't care about it and just enjoys what they get.

There is one striking difference though:

  • Star wars fans can still enjoy the older movies up to this day.

Maybe this explains why (we) Karma fans just keep going out of our way and be an annoyance on the boards. Maybe you can understand. Maybe some fans of other older champions can relate. Maybe an event would be cool, in which you could play pre-rework champions.

Let me know what you think!
