Ranked 1v1?

I know that there have been many discussions about this before, but I will post my argument towards created a ranked 1v1 for league. Firstly, it has the possibility to remove anger issues or "salt" from the community about players thinking that their teams are bad and that they are better. Secondly riot has almost all the equipment to create this new league, as they a map and a program that has already been created and played before. Thirdly, there are many tournaments being held that are purely 1v1 based, if this is the case then there is clearly interest in the subject. I understand however that league of legends is a team game, but it may be nice for players to be able to choose between playing with others or by themselves. There are also many champions that would be unfit for a 1v1 scenario, champions that you could play in 5v5s, however there are still many champions that are not playing in competitive play, as their picks revolve around the current meta.

Opinions on creating a ranked 1v1 ladder?
