@RIOT: Graves Can Move While Snared?

I just recently played a game with a Graves on the enemy team and a Lux on my team. What had happened was that Lux snared Graves as Graves was attacking Lee Sin. Lux proceeded to ult Graves but Graves had used his ult to jump backwards out of Lux's Ult... while he was snared. I understand His ability to jump backwards from his ult, but shouldn't that render the ability to not work since it allows him to move while snared? I do believe that other champions with mobility spells can't be used while snared. Is it possible to just let Graves use his ultimate without jumping backwards while snared? It was a problematic experience when it happened during the game and caused a winnable play to crumble horribly. And no, the snare duration didn't wear off nor did he have any tenacity. It was an instant Q,R combo from Lux when this had happened.

graves's ult jump is not a mobility spell, it's just a downside to his ult. It's so powerful(literally) that it throws him backwards. So, i think what happened is not a bug or miscalculation.

JarvanIV E,Q combo.. and possibly azir dash will do the same thing. Seems to be working as it should.

Works as it should.

If he wasn't still snared after the knockback from his ult, then it was a bug. Otherwise, he will still be snared 100% of the time every time. If you need an explanation that hard, it was propably because of the difference in pings; by the time Lux's snare registered and came back to the client, Graves had time to QR, resulting in you seeing a snared graves pulling a quick combo.

There's also a chance Graves knew the timings really well and pulled an outplay on your asses.

I guess Riot figured being unable to ult whenever he's snared would be too crippling of a weakness and decided to let him use it anyway.
