The Extensive Rant About Dynamic Que
Dynamic Que. I started playing about a year ago, so most of my ranked experience is only from Dynamic Que. I had a chance to play solo que from my time in season 5, so this does give me some leeway when it comes to discussing the issue. I'm going to try and organize this rant as well as I can, and leave it open for discussion. I know i'm not the only one who has probably made a thread like this, but I felt like the RIOT team could use some more insight from a new player. The last thing i'd like to mention is that I wasn't sure where to post this, but since Dynamic Que has been effecting my game play(and many other's) this seemed like the best place to put this.
The Beginning: I started my time as player sometime in Season 5 in the middle of the season. I got to lvl 30, and from warning from my friends I made sure not to step into ranked until I had solid game knowledge. I did this, and didn't touch ranked until the pre-season. Now the games i had were difficult because i know people don't care as much in the preseason. There is one thing that definitely stuck with me from that solo que experience. The combination of a game that i loved, and the feeling of competition. This was great, and I loved it completely.
Dynamic Que: So Dynamic Que was introduced at the beginning of the season, and my first thoughts were "this looks pretty cool." A lot of people thought that as well. I thought being able to chose two roles was pretty dope, but there was one problem. This wasn't solo que, and it was some kind of weird hybrid between ranked teams and duo que.
Effecting Game play: I know some people will disagree, but with dynamic que being the way it is. I don't enjoy the game like I did when solo que was around. Back in season 5, and in the preseason I could control the outcome of my games, but now it mostly comes down to who has the better premade. Yes, I've carried games as a solo player, but is it as enjoyable as it use to be? NO! In solo que I could focus on how well I played and continue to play well. Now, i have to worry about a list of things because the enemy team has the voice com advantage and we don't.
Some Champs Become Unplayable Against Premades: Before I start this I need to mention something. I know there are ways to play around premades, and make these champions work but we shouldn't have to go an extra mile to play a champion well just because the enemy team is a premade. I want to use singed as an example. Singed is champion that thrives when he can create pressure, and abuse poor communication. In solo que good players could easily communicate to eachother to play around the singed, but this was only if the players had the game knowledge to do so. Now with dynamic que people can easily organize around you, and Singed is 10x harder to play. The same goes with champions like Nasus that use to be really strong in solo que because it required good communication to deny him. I know these champions are still playable, but I don't think you should have to jump through the hoops of dynamic que just to do well as a solo player.
Overview: The last thing I need to mention is that this is not about not being able to climb. Its about the fact that climbing in no longer enjoyable because the game mode is skewed toward people who play in groups, and this is not the way I want to play. I know many others who feel the same way and many pro players feel the same way. I've had friends who don't play anymore who had been playing since the beta just because ranked isn't a/an enjoyable experience.
P.S if this is in the wrong section pls notify me so I can delete it and repost it where I can at least get some feed back from a RIOT employee.
